i think a bee kissed me today.

i mean...

well, alright. here's how it went.

as i was cleaning a pool today, i noticed a bee that had just fallen in the water and was flapping it's wings furiously in order to free itself from drowning and never knowing what it could have been.

if i'm at the point where i am brushing the pool i usually lift them out with the end of the brush and place them on the deck in order to free them or step on them depending on how benevolent or vengeful i feel at the time.

today.
benevolent.

usually the bugs i save fly off in the other direction probably not even looking back with a thank you or goodbye.
but today was different.

this time as soon as the bee could take flight it headed straight for me. (you could say it made a "bee line" towards me)

so here i am, in someone's backyard, backpedaling maniacally and yelling, "WHAT THE CRAP?"

the bee made contact.

it lightly touched me on my forehead and buzzed away off into the yard.

i was befuddled.

i went on cleaning the pool but feeling itchy and wary of my little winged friend and it's new feelings for me.

soon, once i get my notes and pictures in order, i will illustrate why frogs are freaks.

Comments:
First Bee Movie opened up the possibility of interspecies relationships between bees and humans... and now this...
