the girls pointed out that they have a problem with Dora the Explorer cuz she shows her mid drift.
i gotta admit i've never caught that before.
now that it's my 2 year old son's favorite cartoon, it's plain as day to me.
my hat's off to the girls who noticed this. it displays that some teens are showing initiative to cover themselves.
way too many young ladies are all too quick to show off their ta-ta's and num-num's cuz TV , Movies and Bratz told them too.
oh yes, Bratz were mentioned in the same conversation.
we all know Bratz are bad for girlz and their self image and self esteem issues.
i won't beat that one into the ground.
my wifey pointed out that Barbie and Bratz teach girlz that life is all about shopping and having everything better than everyone else.
which just seems to me like a weakness on corporate America's part.
(watch it, Spacey. gettin kinda preachy)
thanks to the Simpsons, i just picture a bunch of executives in suits around a conference table saying something like, " gentleman! we need to figure out a way to get young girls to want to go shopping and spend money on frivolous things."
"um. can we order chinese food?"
" ...yes. now got to work!"
seems like a waste of brainpower. i'm sure even girls in Bible times spent lots of money going to the market place trying to get the better robe, veil or sandals that would make the other 15 year old housewives jealous. not to mention what kind of water pitcher you would bring to the well. if you didn't have brand name pottery from Jezebel's on First street (they probably only had one street) then you just weren't cool that year.
but i digress.
i'm gonna go out on a limb and say that my son likes dora cuz of her mid drift showing.
so nyeh.
for that i give him a high five and say, Yeahhh!
face it, us guys just have different standards.
i'd better shut up before i get in all kinds of trouble with my censors.
they keep it clean so we can stay on the air for many years to come.
and that's what makes spacemanrocks.com a family favorite for teens, adults and cavemen all over the planet.
and remember to have your brakes checked by professionals.
